"I Will Not Be Held Responsible For Anyone Claiming To Be Fighting For Me While Abusing Perceived Enemies Or Colleagues" - Toyin Abraham Warns Fans

The actress took to Instagram to ask her fans to stop fighting her colleagues or perceived enemies on her behalf.

Toyin Abraham

Nigerian actress and producer, Toyin Abraham took to Instagram to issue a stern warning to her fans to stop stirring unnecessary drama and fighting people on her behalf.

The actress took to Instagram to ask her fans to stop fighting her colleagues or perceived enemies on her behalf. She also told them to leave kids out of it.

This comes after Toyin was forced to deny allegations that she had contacted a blogger to say bad things about her colleague Lizzy Anjorin and her newborn child.

Toyin said in a video chat with Iyabo Ojo that fans are the ones saying those things and she has no hand in it.

She has now gone to Instagram to issue a stern warning to those fans, writing:

"It is important I say this at this point though I have said it before and hopefully, this is the last time I want to say this.

I cannot and will not be held responsible for anyone claiming to be fighting for me while 'abusing, cursing or calling out' perceived enemies or colleagues.

I saw certain videos on social media of people who purportedly are fighting for me and cursing others and dragging innocent kids into needless drama. Please I am not in anyway in support of this. Not once have I ever sent anyone on this type of errands.

Please keep kids out of drama. These kids will grow up and as they say, internet never forget.

I appreciate the love and passion towards me but that is no justification to maim other brands.

Lastly, I strongly suspect that some people are benefiting from this back and forth, (cos, what I watched this evening, video of people cursing colleagues'/ people's kids is unnecessary and evil) hence the continuous fueling of this tiring drama.

Lastly, if you are a victim of cyber-bullying by anyone, kindly pursue it to a logical legal conclusion and make the bully pay. That is what I intend to do from now on and this is the last time I will be issuing this kind of statement."

Yoruba People Cannot Achieve Oduduwa Nation In The Next 10 Years— Seun Kuti

The activist and leader of the Movement of The People (MOP) called on agitators of the Oduduwa Republic to restrategise and have self-sufficiency plans for the republic.

Seun Kuti
Seun Kuti

Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, has revealed why he believes Yoruba people will not be able to attain self-government in the next 10 years.

The activist and leader of the Movement of The People (MOP) called on agitators of the Oduduwa Republic to restrategise and have self-sufficiency plans for the republic.

According to him, it might take another 50 years before Yoruba people can attain independence because the elite are not interested in the agitation.

He noted that instead of choosing destruction to achieve Yoruba Nation or Biafra, the people should negotiate to achieve a common goal.

He said this during a live video on Instagram while addressing a question he had been asked on when Eastern Security Network (ESN) and Ebube Agu, both security Outfits in the South-East, would start a war among themselves.

Buttressing his point, the musician cited the instance of England which left the European Union without fighting.

"England just left the EU recently; did they fight anyone before leaving? The Scottish are agitating to leave England. Why are they not saying they want to fight war before they can leave England? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying these people don't fight but understand the narrative.
"Must it be a fight if we don't want to be part of Nigeria again, where are our elites? Why are they not agitating for a referendum?
"Referendums now put the decision in the hands of the people. They want a constitutional conference, they should pick among themselves to help us divide.

"If Nigeria truly wants to divide we must pose it in a referendum programme, yes or no vote to all the people in this country so that we can make our argument for and against and the people would be carried along every step of the way because we will need them to make the final decision.

"Even before we do constitutional conferences, democratically in any country, before you do a constitutional review, you must put it to the people, the people will now decide a yes or no vote for the review before you carry your review forward.

"But when only a handful of people want to make decisions for hundreds of millions of people, this is what you now get. Everybody is only discussing one angle, one way of separating Nigeria which will kill millions of us in the name of separating Nigeria. That's what they are pushing for but there is another way.

"If we want to separate, let us debate it in a referendum, not with gun and blood-shed as these ones are doing, everybody is carrying gun. A journalist is asking me when two brothers will fight, why did he not ask me when these two brothers will come to the negotiation table, to decide and strengthen themselves against their common enemy.

"Even if they want to pose their narrative on us — violence. I want to pose a question to the Yoruba people that none of these Yoruba nation leaders are asking them

"If the Yoruba people want to leave Nigeria, it is not overnight. Anybody that tells you Yoruba people can leave Nigeria over ten-year period, that person is trying to put you in another long jump. Our problem needs like fifty years of dedication to see the front, not to fix it but to see how we can balance and then say now we are moving forward.

"Nigeria is like a drunkard who is not balanced, staggering sideways, it needs like fifty years to balance but if the agitations turn to war, this will only add another 100 years of stress for us. We don't want that, even if we want to separate, we want to separate in a way that our lives will get better.

"Yorubas are not even ready to be without Nigeria. Dear Yoruba people, how many refineries do you have? When we separate from Nigeria, how do we get petrol to use? Will we have to buy fuel from Nigeria, pay some people a subsidy?

"How can only one refinery cater for the whole of Oduduwa nation. Moreover, it doesn't belong to a Yoruba man. If we break away from Nigeria, the refinery will either be disassembled and taken elsewhere or we will still be paying Nigeria for it.

"Yoruba nation must become self-sufficient before clamouring for independence. We must negotiate with our Igbo brothers because we need them for expertise. We must negotiate properly with our Hausa brothers because that is where all the pepper comes from. What will you do about the pepper, tomato, onions and all? We must be self-sufficient or at least the agitators should give us a strategy of our self-sufficiency as Yoruba people. Do you want to be in Oduduwa nation and still be begging for food, for military aid, educational aid?"

Schools Declare Emergency Holiday, Others Shut, Residents Panic Over IPOB Sit-At-Home

Residents of Owerri also resorted to panic buying on Thursday in order to prepare for the possible fallout of the order.

According to a report by The PUNCH, different private and missionary schools have shut down in Imo State as a result of the sit-at-home ordered by the Indigenous People of Biafra on Monday, May 31, 2021, throughout the South-East region.

Residents of Owerri also resorted to panic buying on Thursday in order to prepare for the possible fallout of the order.

While some schools were shut down till Tuesday next week, others gave their pupils one week rest at home.

The schools asked the students to stay at home for the period to avoid any casualty.

For instance, a message from schools run by the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri asked parents to keep their children at home from Thursday, May 27, to Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

The message from the Directorate of Education, Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri, read, "Leveraging on the already scheduled public holiday for tomorrow, we have considered it expedient to allow the students/pupils enjoy a longer weekend to resume on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

"Boarding students should not be forced to go home. Those who wish to stay back in school should be taken care of."

Residents storm various markets to buy foodstuffs in readiness for the sit-at-home.

At Eke Onunwa and the Relief Market, there was an unusual rush by buyers at various foodstuffs stands.

The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, asked the people to ignore the separatist group's sit-at-home order.

He said that the state government had the capacity to enforce law and order during and after the period.

IPOB had said human and vehicular movement would be restricted across the South-East on Monday to mark the anniversary of the Biafra 54 years ago.

As a result, it said all markets, parks, schools, airports and others would be shut down.

The group's Director of Media and Publicity, Emma Powerful, stated this in a statement on Thursday.

The statement read in part, "We, the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra, ably led by the prophet of our time, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, wish to announce once again that this year's annual Biafra Remembrance Day and candle light procession will take place on Sunday night, 30th of May, while a sit-at-home and total lockdown takes place on Monday, 31st of May, 2021, and not May 30 as earlier announced.

"The adjustment is to enable churches to hold their normal services on Sunday, May 30, without any obstruction. But there will be no human or vehicular movement throughout Biafra land on Monday May 31.

"Every person in Biafra land is therefore, advised to observe a sit-at-home order on Monday, May 31, 2021. That day is a sacred day in Biafra land in honour of the over five million Biafrans massacred by the wicked Nigeria forces during the civil war.

"There will be a total lockdown all through Biafra land on that day as we remember all our fallen heroes and heroines, including agitators, who have paid the supreme price in the course of our struggle for independence since 1967 till date.

"All markets, filling stations, motor parks, airports, seaports, banks, schools, etc as well as social activities in Biafra land are to be shut down on that day. Everyone is to remain indoors in Biafra land from 6am to 6pm on that day. People are to stock their houses with food items before that day so they won't have need to shop on that day."

Similarly, the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra declared Sunday, May 30, 2021, a special day of prayers for Biafra restoration.

It said that this year's Biafra Day celebration would be unique and special because it fell on a Sunday.

A statement on Thursday by National Leader of MASSOB, Uchenna Madu, directed all churches in Biafra land to observe special prayers and supplication for the repose of the souls of fallen Biafra heroes, including those killed by Nigerian security agents, Boko Haram and herdsmen.
